Birmingham jail

I think its not fair that he was put in jail, white people shouldn't be allowed to throw people in jail for expressing there feelings. His letter made a difference in me because it shows me how he felt and what he was going through when he was in jail also why he went to Birmingham. With his letter i think he made a big difference in a lot of "different" peoples lives because he was standing up for what he believed in and trying to make a difference in the world. That's what he did because if he didn't take the stand then colored people may not have the same rights that the white people have now. Just like what we were talking about in class, back in the day men seem to get more privileges then the women. They are only around to "cook, clean, and have children." They also were not aloud to vote or have a paying job. Now days the colored people have just about all the same "rights" that we have. Now days the women have more then they did back in the olden days. When we were talking in class everyone seemed to have a different opinion on on how they think that men should treat women, such as holding the door all the time for them or when you go on a date that the men should pay for it. I think that after MLK wrote the letter from Birmingham jail it changed how people looked at the colored people, just like after time went by the women got more rights such as; voting and working. Or just like when Rosa Parks stood up for herself and the other colored women by sitting in the front of the bus. Anyways i think that it has made the world change to how it is today!
